Street Fighter IV

Last time I left you guys with a Street Fighter IV update, I showed you guys how assy the game looked by posting the trailer. I was let down by how the game looked, and I had no problem voicing my hatred for what they were doing graphically.

In it's defense, it was a very early build of the title, so I couldn't complain too much. Now, 2 months later, more videos have popped up online showing even more gameplay and characters -- and damn it, color me impressed.

The new graphic style mixing 2D and 3D works and I can see the advantages it can have over hand drawn sprites. Seeing minor details like Zangief slip behind someone to deliver a German Suplex or Dhalsim breathing in air before doing his "Yoga Flame" attack add a lot to the game you just couldn't see before.

Ryu

Speaking of characters, looks like the usual suspects will be showing up, although the new trailer shows off a few new roster additions. I'm a bit salty I have yet to see my homeboy Sagat or my "head bitch in charge" Cammy yet, but I'm sure they'll show up in newer videos as development rolls on.

SF IV

Are you pumped for this game yet? I am! Between this and Tekken 6, Soul Calibur IV, and Smash Bros. Brawl, I'm a happy camper this year... even though I own none of the next gen systems yet LOL..

I'm not that psyched for the game yet...then again, I'm such a late bloomer to this game. I mean, I couldn't figure out how to do simple moves like Ryu's fireball for like two or three years (the instruction manual failed to explain in a way that made sense).
