The Boondocks has always been controversial, but this is the first time I've heard of episodes being banned. There were actually two episodes banned in the United States, as they have aired on Canada's version of the Adult Swim programming block called "The Detour" already. Hilarious Canada gets it and we don't.
Apparently, the word on the street is that BET, the subject of satire in the banned clips, threatened legal action if the shows were aired. What a bitch move.. I knew BET was full of crap, but I didn't know they were this lame.
I'm too lazy to hunt down the other banned video, but they shouldn't be hard to find on YouTube or something if they have yet to be yanked from the service yet. I will, however, show you guys who haven't seen "The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show" here today.
The episode is less comedic and is more focused on pointing out the flaws in the network and Black culture as a whole, so don't shit on it if you're not completely rolling on the floor in laughter.
I'm sure the banned episodes will be on the DVD release of season 2. Mmm, high definition satire. Yum.
As far as my beef with BET goes, I'm brain storming an article on it for later this year.

That was a good episode actually. I couldn't believe it at the end when Uncle Ruckus almost had Huey and Riley...well, I won't ruin to those who haven't seen it.
