Somehow, by some ginormous miracle, Cassie still has a record contract with Bad Boy. Amazing what a blowjob can do for job security these days, isn't it?

After laying low for a year and some change (aside from a role in Kanye West's "Stronger" video in 2007) after a rather abysmal self-titled debut album, the uncoordinated singer is getting ready to hush the computer chair critics (i.e., moi) with her new album that drops in September.

The first single is called "Official Girl" and features the T-Pain of 2008, Lil' Wayne. The video has been shot and should be dropping any day now to be professionally scruntinized by yours truly.

"It's a series of things," she added about the clip's plot. "You kind of catch me in a crazy-girl stage. It's about the fly chick, she's going into the hotel, feeling out her situation, talking to the guy who she thinks is there, but it's really not. You have to see it. Anytime I hear Lil' Wayne on a track it means the song by itself would otherwise get zero airplay. What a cop out move by Diddy. A smart move business wise, but sheesh I'm sick of all this Weezy dick ridin' that's goin' on.

Expect a full review of her album as soon as it drops in the Fall.
