If you're lucky enough to own a Blu-ray disc player and a copy of Transformers on the format, you'll be pleased to know Paramount has updated the BD-Live features for the title. If you don't know, BD-Live is a Blu-ray exclusive feature that lets you get extra content on the movie you're watching. It just requires a connection to the internet and viola. It's like streaming DVD extras.
I've been on the Blu bandwagon for almost a year now, and honestly, I never touched this feature until I found out about the new content being available for viewing included exclusive scenes from the upcoming Revenge of the Fallen, which is due out in theaters next Wednesday.
The bonus material on the BD-Live menu includes three sneak peaks from the film and two behind-the-scenes clips. These scenes are completely random looks from the movie, so they barely make sense to me because there is absolutely no set up information whatsoever. So, with that said, if I'm a tad negative on this stuff, it's because I have no clue what's going on lol. I'll try my best to summarize the scenes, though.
Clip one, entitled "We're Gonna Die" features Blackout chasing down Sam, Mikaela, and some new guy who's just randomly there screaming in the car. Who the hell is this clown?

I guess I have to watch the movie, but Blackout (in stealth mode) ends up taking the car by force and carrying it through the air before carelessly dropping it into what appears to be some abandoned warehouse where Starscream is waiting. Atleast I think it's Starscream... These movie versions of the Transformers, aside from Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, are kind of hard to tell apart since their faces all look like bugs and shit. Even in HD it's a problem. Maybe if Bay slowed down the cuts and didn't have five million things going on every second I might be able to learn who's who without needing to guess. I wasn't too impressed by this clip and this wasn't a good way to make want to go see the movie.
The next sneak peak is called "Shanghai". Here, the military characters from the first film (the ones that didn't die, of course) are obviously on a mission to do something. What it is exactly I'm not sure about, because, well, that's not really explained. Maybe they're off to get Diddy some cheesecake?
What I do know is Linkin Park made a lot of money helping out with the score of the film with composer Hans Zimmer, as their trademark sound is all over this scene like jizz is on Kim Kardashian's left ass cheek. The army dudes get ambushed by some big wheel Decepticon, that same one you see in the trailer. Sorry, I'm not the best on Transformers lore, so if this uniwheeled piece of shit has a name, I probably wouldn't recognize the thing anyways because I could barely tell what it was to begin with. I was like "Oh, that's nice, a big explosion... Wait, what the blueberry fuck just happened?"
The last of these unimpressive clips is "Adobe Hut". I'm assuming they're in Egypt or somewhere hot. I see sand everywhere. This is top-notch reporting, folks LOL. Anyways, Sam and Wank Bait, I mean, Mikaela, are hiding from the Decepticons because I assume they don't want to get raped. Starscream, or something that resembles him, seems to be in charge of this possé and he wants some of Megan Fox's sweet vag. Apparently, that's where the Allspark is. Intergallatic robot gangbang for 500, Alex.

In all seriousness (lol), this is probably the only clip shown that can stand on it's own. A little Decepticon "fly" with a sound amplifying radar (or some shit that the script writers made up) strapped onto it's back crawls into a crack in the wall and Sam, stupidly picks it up and messes with it. Five seconds later, Starscream is comin' for that ass. More explosions. *sigh* Dammit, Bay!
If the movie is as lame as these clips, I'm going to rip it a new one in my review next week. Granted, my negative reviews are pretty darn hilarious, but this is freakin' Transformers! I don't want it suck and I'm hoping really hard it doesn't. Prime wasn't in either of these shorts, so there's still hope!
I don't know how much longer these extras will be available on BD-Live, so if you own the first film in high-def, check it out for yourself.
