• I made "The Apokélypse: Millenninum Edition", which looked like this version of the site but a lot worse. Peep the old designs section to see what I'm talking about.
  • After buying a Sega Dreamcast early on in the year, I subscribe to SegaNet as my ISP. While playing NFL 2k1 online (56k), I rack up over $1,000 in long distance charges on my mom's phone bill. She absolutely flipped and canceled my service... thus leaving me without a way to get online. I eventually get NetZero from my friend Jason and enjoy the crippled-ass "internet" experience it offered. This was just the start of numerous problems with the internet I had this year.
  • But when the world hands you lemons, you juice them into some unsuspecting idiot's eye (right? CHYEAH! lol). With all the downtime I had with no internet, I actually accomplish more work.. more than I have since 1999. I finished 4 episodes of PT with real break neck speed and upload them all at once. Till this day, that's the record of new PT episodes I've uploaded at the same time.
  • The usual September 9th update included the famed "Rejection" gripe file (more below) and I showed off a brand new design. It had a mostly grey color scheme and none of the blues the previous one had. It wouldn't last that long since I was back to the other design before the end of October. If it ain't broke, then why fix it?
  • The biggest gripe file I've ever written, and the one I was the most passionate about -- "Rejection", is uploaded for the world to see a few days before the unfortunate events of Sept. 11th took place. The gripe would be continously updated until the end of 2002 (because I didn't give a shit about that girl anymore by that point).
  • My sister, who was moved out at the time, shows me her new kitten named (very blandly lol) "Kit Kat".
  • I get into audio editing this year, and to make the "Game.com connection" even more eerie, the person who first suggested I use Goldwave in 2002 was Chris Owens, a regular fixture on the newsgroups that I got to know a bit. Needless to say, if he didn't point me in that direction, I'd still be using Windows Sound Recorder for EVERYTHING lol...
