- Adam Obremski, also known as Phoenix_Seven and now Infamous Bamf, begins to e-mail me episodes of his own series: "Pokémon Destiny". It is featured on my page and I gain a new friend to help me with things down the road. He later gets his own site for his fanfiction (titled the same as his fic, although it would be re-named a gazillion times down the road.. lol)
- With more help from my other friend, Jon Cox from the Game.com newsgroups, the page gets redesigned and renamed "Pokémon eXtreme" in the later winter/early spring of the year.
- In a blunder of a move, Adam I literally combine our pages.. as in my site on top of his on one page lol. It took forever to load on 56k, and he got sick of being on the bottom (get your mind out the gutter, haha) so that idea was quickly disposed of.
- I switch from Geocities to Tripod for web hosting, which is where I stayed until late 2005.
- I finally get a message board! (From Bravenet)
- I introduce a new character to the PT series: Laura L'Odie, the french exchange student, in episode 35, which was written by Adam. This episode, named the most important in the series by my old top 5 list from ages ago, helped give PT a much needed kick in the ass towards a new direction. However, nobody liked the Laura character at first as my message board was filled with a new topic on wanting Laura killed off daily. People grew to love to hate her as time passed though. We shall see if history repeats itself with you guys when I get Thruda High rolled out haha.
- My first attempt at the series "Pokémon Metal" (PM) was uploaded. This version still had Ace and Crystal, along with The Elements, but with some slight changes to the plot of the current version today. For starters, Crystal was a blonde and not pink-haired, Ace and Crystal were already a couple vs Ace being too afraid to ask her out in the current version, and Inferno (the leader of The Elements) was Dash's long lost brother and his name was actually Patrick Gotem. I forgot the rest, but lol, I don't think you guys really want to remember that horrible first attempt. Thankfully, I quit it later in the year in favor of going back to the drawing board.
- Perhaps the worst series I've ever written, "Pokémon eXtreme" was uploaded. Folks, I don't even remember what this crap was about other than it sucked and the episodes were insanely short so I could pump out a truck load of them just to say "hey, look at the episode count". If anyone remembers what this was about, feel free to contact me. I might buy you a bag of Chips Ahoy..
- I gain a tough critic in visitor Delta_One. He posted on my board and Adam's talking about how my style of writing was crude, childish, and just plain trashy. While he was partially right (lmao) I didn't appreciate him being so angry with my site and work. He was, however, a fan and supporter of Adma's work lol. He had a web page where he wrote his own "family oriented" pokémon fanfiction. I think one time he said I was going to hell or something... He was a Christian, btw. A hardcore one. Oh well, he was the very first real "hater" the site had... He should be proud lol.
- My first crack at writing Tales of Destiny is uploaded. I wrote part one of it and Adam wrote part two. You see, it was supposed to be the crossover everyone wanted at the time - the characters of PT meeting up with the charcters of Adam's fic, "Pokémon Destiny". It goes without saying we had the two most popular fanfics going on the internet at that moment -- so it was a HUGE deal. To tell you the truth, I forgot the original plot line as to why these two casts were crossing paths. I can assure you it blew atleast.
- My first soundtrack to a fanfiction (Tales of Destiny) is put up, and while it was in midi format, it was the start of something important to my site and fanfiction in the later years -- actually putting emphasis on music.
- Last Dream, the cross over of Final Fantasy VII characters with the cast of PT, is written in June and uploaded in July. Part two followed in August and that one was written by Adam. It got great reviews, but looking back on it, it's cheesy as all hell. As a joke, I might upload it again one day since I still have it (as I do all my old stuff).
- On Sept. 9th, I change the name of the page from "Pokémon eXtreme" over to "The Apokélypse" due to too many sites having my old name. And btw, I was the first person on the internet to use "The Apokélypse", trust me.. I wanted a name nobody had and I even googled it to make sure.
- On that same date, episode 50 of "Pokémon Tales" was uploaded. It was made to be a big deal and the episode is one my favorites. This is why when I update on Sept. 9th these days it's such an event.
- I think up a new concept for PM and begin to write the new episode 1 for it at the end of the year and into new year's day.
